PROSSER Auditions are just a month away for Valley Theater Company’s February production of Last of the Red Hot Lovers, which will open in mid-February.
This Neil Simon play is billed as one of the most amusing of the playwright’s comedies.
Auditions will be held Sunday and Monday, Nov. 19 and 20, at the Princess Theater, 1228 Meade Ave. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. both days.
Roles are available for one man, late 40s-50s, and three women, 20s-50s. Auditions will include readings from the script and some improvisation and/or miming, according to director Sue Ellen Davis.
“The actors need to be able to use their body language as well as their mouths,” Davis said.
The show will be co-produced by Candace Andrews and Elaine St. John.
Play rehearsals will begin after Thanksgiving and break during the Christmas holidays. Rehearsals will be held three evenings a week for the man’s role, and one evening a week for the women until mid-January, when the entire cast will rehearse three evenings a week.
Scripts are available for a three-day check-out by contacting Andrews at 509-539-6764.
