We are so fortunate to have Mary Rita Rohde running for a position on the Sunnyside School Board this year.
It is a great opportunity for the citizens of Sunnyside to get an amazing and dedicated individual to represent them on the school board. She brings with her a wealth of quality experience in education at both the school district and university levels. Her history speaks for itself when you visit Heritage University and see her picture on the wall, honoring her as one of its founders.
Her dedication to our community is evident, given the countless hours of service she has provided to parents and families through Nuestra Casa, a successful non-profit that she established in Sunnyside 10 years ago in collaboration with the Sisters of the Holy Names. She has many years of experience working on budgets and strategic planning to help build success on school and community committees, boards and commissions locally and throughout the Yakima Valley.
Sister Mary Rita is bilingual in Spanish and truly understands how to make a difference. She is networked and connected to students, parents, teachers and administrators in our schools and our community. If you speak with anyone who knows her, they will tell you that she is about impacting positive change for Sunnyside schools.
Please join me in voting for Mary Rita Rohde, School Board, District 3.
