A rash of graffiti sightings in the South 11th Street area were reported to Sunnyside police during the past 24 hours.
Residents in the 900, 1000 and 1100 blocks of South 11th Street all reported graffiti incidents on properties in those areas. Yesterday (Wednesday), a victim living at a property in the 500 block of Flower Street also reported being tagged sometime during the past two weeks.
Police also investigated a car vandalism report in the 1400 block of Gregory Avenue, in which a victim reported his car has been broken into sometime during the past 24 hours.
Police also investigated a report of a suspicious circumstance in the 500 block of South 13th Street. The reporting party said his vehicle had been gone through during the night, but he could not determine if anything had been taken.
Yesterday afternoon (Wed-nesday), Sunnyside officers were called to the 600 block of South Fourth Street near Central Park to contact a group of males loitering in that area. No action was taken. Later in the day, police also were called to investigate a report of a man smoking marijuana in the 700 block of Bagley Drive. Upon their arrival at the location, police were unable to locate any suspects.
In other activity, police made three traffic stops, responded to two reports of trespassing, one report of an unlicensed solicitor, one residential alarm, one animal complaint, two juvenile problems and one report of a runaway.
Police also provided one agency assist, two citizen assists, took two informational calls, provided one welfare check and provided one transport.
