Wednesday morning Sunnyside police learned that a car reported as having been stolen, had also been involved in an accident on Van Belle and Cemetery Road during the past 24 hours.
The vehicle, which was taken from a residence in the 800 block of Ismo Loop, was drivable when the owners were notified of its damaged condition, according to the report.
In other activities reported to the Sunnyside police during the past 36 hours were four situations involving juveniles fighting.
Mid-afternoon Wednesday police began receiving reports of large groups of youths gathering near the schools on 16th Street. Upon making contact with the youths in the area, officers were told that the youths were just playing. Police were unable to find any signs of any fighting among the groups.
Since Tuesday, police also investigated two business alarms, two residential alarms, three animal complaints, two disorderly conduct reports, one report of drugs, one intoxicated person report and two incidents of lost property. Police also responded to one noise complaint, one report of a sex crime, seven incidents of suspicious circumstances, nine traffic issues, one trespassing complaint and one report of an unsecured premise.
Sunnyside officers also provided five agency assists, served four arrest warrants, gave one citizen assist, andmade two welfare checks.
