Yakima Valley Community College will again be offering ESL classes in the Lower Valley, according to Bryce Humphries, Dean of the Grandview-YVCC campus.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 7, ESL classes will again be offered in Sunnyside with classes also scheduled to begin Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Granger, he said.
Individuals interested in enrolling in the ESL classes must first take a placement test, which will be offered in Sunnyside at the YVCC Learning Center, 2590 Yakima Valley Highway, Thursday, Oct. 3, at 5:30 p.m.
Granger residents interested in the ESL classes may begin registering tonight (Tuesday) at Radio KNDA, 121 Sunnyside Avenue, Granger.
The classes will be offered in the evening from 6 to 8:25 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Registration cost is $25, which includes tuition, materials and placement test charge. The registration/placement fee may be paid with check or money order. No cash will be accepted.
Humphries said the ESL classes will remain open for several weeks, as part of an open enrollment process to ensure students have ample time to register for the classes.
