GRANDVIEW – The Grandview High School DECA chapter will be sending a group of marketing students to New York City on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
The students will spend five days in the “Big Apple.”
Advisor Brad Charvet said the week of events includes a visit to the 9/11 Memorial, a tour of SOHO, a visit to Radio City Music Hall and the Empire State Building.
There are a number of educational workshops for the students to attend during the conference, who will also have an opportunity to enjoy a Broadway production.
He said the students also recently attended the DECA Fall Leadership Conference in Seattle.
There the students attended a variety of workshops, “…some of which inspired a few seniors to change their career aspirations,” said Charvet.
He said he believes the trip to New York may also inspire students.
The Grandview School Board approved the travel request for the New York trip by a 3-0 vote.
