The Sunnyside Police Department and the Sunnyside Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all of the “trunk” participants and those of you who donated and helped at the fourth annual trunk or treat.
Participants included Sunnyside Community Hospital, Sunnyside Fire Department, the DeRuyter family, the Miss Sunnyside Court, Conquistador, Sunnyside Lions Club, Regal Majesty, Sunnyside Ace Hardware, Sunnyside Police Explorers, Andrew Gutierrez, the Daily Buzz, Oasis Community Church, It Works, Mabton Grid Kid Cheerleading, Lower Valley Credit Union, Panda Bear Day Care, Trendy Tots Shop, Megan Razey and Amy Rubio.
We estimate 3,000 ghouls and goblins came to “trunk-or-treat” this year.
The winner of the trunk decoration contest was the DeRuyter family, the second place winner was the Sunnyside Fire Department and third place winner was Panda Bear Day Care.
Thank you for helping us make this a successful event for Sunnyside!
