Beatríz Villanueva, 78, of Sunnyside went to be in the arms of her Savior on Tuesday, March 26, 2013.
Bea was born Oct. 5, 1934 in Odem, Texas, the daughter of Reymundo and Josefa (Zepeda) Farias.
She with her late husband, Jose owned and operated the La Fiesta Restaurant in Sunnyside.
Beatríz is survived by 11 children, Maria Sanchez of Gridley, Calif., Mario Villanueva of Olympia, Mary Jane Allen of Sunnyside, Frank Villanueva of Lacey, Chris Villanueva of Bellevue, John Villanueva of Grandview, Suzi Carpino of Sunnyside, Maria Nena Kresse and Lisa Erickson, both of Kennewick, Joe Villanueva of Spanaway and Maria Bea Scudiero of Pullman; 35 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and a half-brother, Frank Farias
Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m., with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
