GRANDVIEW - Area children will search high and low, under each nook and cranny, leg and peg, for that perfect egg on Saturday, March 30.
The Grandview Parks and Recreation Department is this year teaming up with the Grandview Church of the Nazarene to offer a community-wide Easter egg hunt. The event is slated to be held at the Country Park Events Center, located at 812 Wallace Way.
The event is set for 10 a.m. and is open to youth ages 1-8, with a cost of $1.00 per participant.
Hunters are asked to bring a container to place their eggs in for the event. The Easter Bunny will also be making a special appearance to meet and greet area children.
The Nazarene Church will be offering additional children's activities, including face painting, puppets and animal balloons immediately after the hunt.
Prior to the hunt, the Grandview Kiwanis Club will be sponsoring the delicious "Bunny Breakfast," which will include pancakes and sausage at 8:30 a.m. in the adjacent Grandview Community Center dining area. A suggested donation for breakfast is $5 for those 12 years old and up and $1 for children 11 years old and younger. The Kiwanis Club will also be selling hot cocoa during the event.
