Sunnyside police are investigating a number of thefts which occurred over the past weekend.
Among the reports officers are following up on is a report of a stolen vehicle taken from the 1300 block of South Sixth Street Sunday afternoon.
Last Saturday, police also responded to a report of a suspect in a wheelchair attempting to shoplift items from a business in the 2600 block of East Lincoln Avenue. Officers also followed up on a report of a shoplifting incident reported in the 600 block of South Sixth Street.
Since last Friday, Sunnyside police have also investigated three burglaries.
An attempted burglary in the 500 block of North Fourth Street was interrupted when the homeowner returned to find someone had broken into his house. The suspect took off running.
Police are also seeking more information regarding a break-in in the 1000 block of South 13th Street in which the victim saw several suspicious looking individuals running away from his house.
A reported break-in at a home in the 1400 block of South Sixth Street revealed a home had been entered and a number of items appeared to have been taken. Other items were broken.
Police are seeking any information regarding suspicious activities in these areas which might lead to the arrest of the would-be thieves.
In other weekend activities, police responded to reports of three business alarms, two residential alarms, one assault, three domestic incidents, one report of fraud, two noise complaints, three malicious mischief reports and eight reports of suspicious circumstances.
Police also made three traffic stops and handled five reports of trespassing.
Sunnyside Police Department officers also provided two agency assists, four citizen assists, served one arrest warrant and made two welfare checks.
