Edna O. Means, 93, of Sunnyside went to be in the arms of her loving Savior on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010.
Edna was born May 19, 1917 in Wisner, Neb., the daughter of Herman and Martha (Stoike) Bloedorn.
She spent her early years and attended school in Nebraska. On Feb. 18, 1934 she married Raymond Means. The Means family made their home in Nebraska until moving to Washington in 1956.
Her husband passed away in 1965 and she continued to make her home in Sunnyside.
Edna is survived by two sons, Gene (Maxine) Means of Sunnyside and Derald (Renate) Means of Tacoma; two daughters, Karen (Leonard) May of Napa Vine and Melva (Richard) Eubanks of Sunnyside; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Herda Brand of Wisner and Dorothy Doescher of Beemer, Neb.; one sister-in-law, Eleanor Bloedorn of Wisner; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at 11 a.m., at Sunnyside Cemetery.
