PERRY DWAYNE BROWN
Perry Dwayne Brown, 47, passed away Friday, March 9, 2007, in East Wenatchee.
He was born May 31, 1959, in Wenatchee. He graduated from Grandview High School in 1978.
After graduation, Perry enlisted in the U.S. Navy in October of 1979. For the next 20 years, he served his country with great pride. He received numerous medals and commendations. He studied security and served as a military police officer. He retired as an OS1 Petty Officer E6. After retirement, he established his home in Phoenix, Ariz. with his wife of 14 years, Diane. At his time of death, he was working at Target in Wenatchee.
Perry had many interests. His greatest love was touring the country on his motorcycle. He had many different bikes, but his favorite was always a Goldwing. He also loved collecting dolphins and eagles. He recently started teaching himself how to play the guitar.
When you became a friend of Perry, you became his friend for life. He was envied by his family for the close friendships he still had from high school.
Perry is survived by his wife, Diane of Peoria, Ariz.; his parents, Richard O. and Sandra L. Brown, of Wenatchee; one brother, Charles D. Brown of Zillah; and one sister, Darci A. (Jeff) Rashoff of Glenoma, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Hazel (Perry) Brown and Gertrude (Hoffman) Northrup; and his grandfather, Orville H. Brown.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 15, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. at Telford’s Chapel of the Valley Funeral Home in East Wenatchee. A private interment will be held at a later date at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. Telford’s Chapel of the Valley was in charge of arrangements.
